Safe, Loved, and Ready for Adoption
While they wait for adoption, our cats enjoy spacious group areas with trees and toys, while our dogs have air-conditioned kennels, music, walks, and playtime. Every animal receives the medical care they need and is spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. Dedicated volunteers provide daily care, enrichment, and companionship—helping each animal get ready for a loving home.
The Adoption Process
Identify the Candidates
Visit the FAS Adopt-a-Pet website to see all of the dogs and cats currently available for adoption. Adoption fees are listed on the animal's profile.
Set Up an Appointment
Complete a pre-adoption application so our volunteer team can learn about your household, lifestyle, and the companion you hope to welcome. For information specifically about cat adoptions, send a message to adoptions.fas@gmail.com.
Meet With an Adoption Counselor
If the animal appears to be a good fit, we will schedule an appointment. We recommend that all members of the household are present during the adoption meeting to ensure that the chosen pet is compatible with everyone. If you already have a dog and are adopting another, we may suggest that you bring in your dog for an introduction.
Come to an Adoption Event
Meet adoptable kittens and cats and learn about the adoption process at one of our events.
